Dr. Jaynee Card

Dr. Jaynee Card grew up in Saint Ignatius, Montana.  Since the tender age of four years old, Jaynee knew she wanted to be a veterinarian. Throughout her teenage years she helped her dad train horses.   Upon graduating from Saint Ignatius High School, she joined the United States Army as a veterinary technician.  After a tour in Hawaii, the military moved her to New Jersey where Dr. Card attended Rutgers University for her undergraduate education in biology.  She worked as veterinary technician in the civilian sector while completing her studies.  Dr. Card graduated from Oklahoma State University as a small animal veterinarian.  During her doctorate program she decided to become an officer in the Army.

After graduation, Captain Jaynee Card became a veterinarian for Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst in New Jersey.  She instructed a course for military working dog handlers, ensuring they were trained to provide emergency first aid to their partners.  Working with military working dogs while serving in the military was one of the most rewarding things she has ever done.

Dr. Jaynee Card currently serves on the board of Bethany’s Gait. A non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing horses and using those horses to help those who have served in the military, first responders and their spouses.

Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and rescued pets, making soap, hiking, fishing, camping, skiing, and kayaking.
