Dr. Dana Muwanas
Dr. Dana Muwanas has always known she wanted to work with animals. She was raised around animals all her life, from farm animals on her family's farm to small animals in her own house.
At 16 years old Dr. Muwanas started volunteering and later working as a veterinary assistant at a small animal hospital in her local area. There she was mentored and able to work alongside great veterinarians that provided excellent care for animals. She got to learn the medical aspect from many different veterinarians as well as interact with clients and their animals, which she loved. She later pursued her undergraduate degree in biology and went on to be accepted into western university veterinary school where she gained her veterinary degree in 2021. During her time in school, she was involved in the spay, neuter and vaccine program for the surrounding community.
Dr. Muwanas has a special interest in internal medicine and surgery. She also enjoys teaching clients about their pets' conditions and providing them with the best treatment options available.
She has a beautiful and energetic german shepherd named Lexa that loves people and treats, and her hobbies outside of work include going to church, playing basketball, trying new food and spending time with friends and family.
